Chef's Biography

Our executive chef, Bill Pate, brings over 17 years of culinary experience and a lifelong passion for cooking. Him and his team are able to help bring any vision to life. His love for the culinary arts began in his family kitchen, learning alongside his mother, grandmother, and grandfather from a very young age.

Chef Bill's professional journey started while attending Rancocas Valley Regional High School, where he took his first kitchen job as a busser and dishwasher at Café Gallery in Burlington, NJ, later moving up to line cook. After high school, he pursued his passion at the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute of America, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management.

In 2010, Chef Bill joined The Madison, starting as a line cook and quickly advancing to Sous Chef. Seeking to broaden his culinary horizons, he moved to the Carolinas in 2014, working as a Sous Chef for Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and later climbing his way up to Executive Chef at Seven Oaks in Belmont, NC.

In 2018, he returned home to New Jersey, joining Peddler's Village in Lahaska, PA as an Executive Sous Chef. In 2022, he found his way back to The Madison, and continues to lead the kitchen with creativity, precision, and dedication.

Outside the kitchen, Bill enjoys spending quality time with his fiancé, Kelly, and their two sons, Dom and Logan.
